The Canterbury Caminos

A ritual landscape of South East Kent

In its medieval heyday Canterbury was as big a pilgrim destination as Rome and Compostela.

Pilgrimage is enjoying a revival and to celebrate Canterbury’s rich heritage of stories and saints

here is a list of pilgrimage routes that link them all.

This is a list of eleven Canterbury Caminos

All with their own stories based here in Canterbury, a cathedral and city rich in heritage and history for which pilgrimage acts as a golden thread bringing them all together.

These are pilgrimage routes telling stories of our saints, archbishops, and Anglo Saxon royalty.
