About Canterbury Pilgrims

Hello, my name is Torin Brown and I am the Pilgrim Officer at Canterbury Cathedral. Since walking to Compostela I have been working at Canterbury for the past four years to try and raise the profile of pilgrimage here. When you arrive at the Cathedral, please call in to the Visit Centre to the right of Christ Church gate and get a stamp for your credential. Also look for the QR code on our pilgrim poster to scan and tell us about your journey, as the data we collect helps shape our pilgrim mission here. We have a certificate if Canterbury is your destination and a bookmark for your guidebook, with a pilgrim prayer and a QR code to the survey about your pilgrimage. Then ask to be shown the pilgrim stone, which acts as a zero marker for your journey. We can arrange for you to receive a blessing upon your completion or to see you on your way, as we understand how it feels to complete a pilgrimage and the apprehension which can manifest before starting out on such a long undertaking. Whether you're a seasoned pilgrim or a first-time visitor, we've got you covered with a warm welcome, spiritual support, in-depth articles, travel tips, and recommendations. Join us as we explore the rich history and cultural significance of pilgrimage in this beautiful part of England.
