It was a real pleasure to greet this pilgrim who not only arrived here having walked from Winchester, but is staying the night and leaving for Rome on the Via Francigena tomorrow. Wow, what an adventure. It was great to show him the pilgrim windows and take him for a blessing with our Chaplain.

Today was a first for me in adding a dog's name to our certificate as these three pilgrims arrived having walked from Winchester.
I must say he was very well behaved as he posed for his photo, and he also had his own passport which we happily stamped. It was a pleasure to welcome them all.

I am happy to tell you all that I will be leading a mini pilgrimage around the outside of Canterbury Cathedral every Thursday at 4.30pm from July 31st. This is a pilgrimage of the mind, reflecting on our lives and our world. It is a pilgrimage of meaning and an exercise in mindfulness prior to evening prayer at 5.30pm and a pilgrim blessing afterwards. I will also be happy to give you a pilgrim bookmark to keep with you in your favourite book, with a pilgrim prayer on the back to carry with you.
I look forward to seeing you and sharing this pilgrimage with you.

I was so happy to meet this lovely pilgrim late today arriving after we had closed up. It was a pleasure to host the team from @rochestercathedral on the Cathedral Cycle Relay which started @bfdcathedral this year.
