Phil's story - A pilgrimage of thanksgiving.

I walked on the Pilgrims Way from Winchester to Canterbury to thank God for his healing grace following my two operations in 2025 and also as a gesture of thanks to all the medical staff who looked after me - including doctors, surgeons, nurses and other medical staff. Also to pray for the Church of England and for world peace.

I was seeking God's strength and guidance to continue with his work.

I am so grateful to God for His healing grace following my cancer operation and hip replacement and also for overcoming pains in my feet and legs to be able to complete the walk.

I thank all the people who I met at Canterbury Cathedral for my friendly reception on arrival.

It is a wonderful walk from Winchester through beautiful countryside and friendly people along the way.
