At the age of 50 with 2 grown children I left an unhappy marriage of 23 years, and met and remarried a wonderful partner who was a walker and adventurer. He treated me to a holiday journey that I had always wanted to do. For my 60th birthday we joined a group of friends and walked 100 km into Rome guided by a small sustainable travel company called Adventurous Ewe. The walking, experience and meeti g people on the journey was amazing. We have taken a week each year now to do a leg of the Francigena, and each leg is more beautiful than the last. As you get older the spiritual connection can get stronger, we learn, mellow accept and make our own spiritual journey towards home...that, for me became more joyful as we embarked on another leg of our journey....Bon Camino, Good luck.....the journey makes you realise what it is all about....🧡
